Steven is outgoing, energetic and loves attention. He likes to play dodge ball and other sports, go to the YMCA, watch television, draw and read. Steven needs a patient, loving and structured environment to thrive in. He has a great personality and is looking for a family who can see that in him.
Steven has a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), attachment disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). At times he is stubborn and resists following directions, but he responds well to privileges begin taken away as a form of discipline. Steven attends an alternative classroom for children with emotional problems. His teacher reports that Steven can display negative behaviors in the classroom including a poor attitude, disruptive behaviors and an unwillingness to stay on task. However, he has a great vocabulary, is very smart and is quite capable to doing well in school when he applies himself.

Steven’s ability to attach to a family is unknown due to his attachment disorder. He can be a genuinely fun and sweet child who needs a stable and attentive family to give him a permanent home in which to grow.
