Jymar would absolutely thrive in a loving, stable and supportive home environment. He needs a family with patience, a family who will encourage him and who will participate in his weekly therapy sessions with him. Jymar likes to be active, so he would love a family that will participate in activities with him and give him lots of praise and positive reinforcement.
Jymar has a tough shell and he isn’t trusting with adults at first, but, once he gets to know someone, he is very warm and helpful. He is in good health, but it is important to note that Jymar has mild asthma, seasonal allergies and allergies to dogs, cats and smoke. Academically, he is doing well in school, but he does display some negative, aggressive behaviors at times. These behaviors – both at school and at home – have been improving during his stay in his current foster home. Jymar receives therapy and medication to address his anger issues and both his foster parent and his therapist report that the combination of treatments is really helping with regard to his attitude.

Jymar is a football and a basketball fan and he enjoys playing outside. He’s a sharp child who picks up on things quickly and is very thorough when completing tasks. He will need some extra time to adjust to a new home and family.
