Freddie at Kim's Costumes 2003

Getting to know a child is like getting to know your ABC’s, and, for Freddie, A is for artistic, B is for bright and C is for creative. He needs a home where he can shine – perhaps as an only child – and where he can be given all of the love, support, structure and loving supervision that he needs.
Freddie is in good health. In the past he has needed to take antibiotics for Tuberculosis, which is currently inactive. While he is no longer taking the medication, Freddie’s condition still needs to be monitored via annual chest x-rays and, if needed, antibiotics. Freddie is also taking medication for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and has been assessed to have Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder and symptoms of a learning disorder. He attends day treatment and Freddie can do well academically when he applies himself. He is behind on reading skills but enjoys art and drawing very much. He does display negative and inappropriate behaviors in the classroom such as fighting, resisting authority and leaving without permission, all of which have resulted in several suspensions.

Freddie is attending therapy sessions on a weekly basis, and, as a result, several of his negative and inappropriate behaviors have been improving of late.

In addition to drawing, Freddie also likes to play video games, play basketball and ride his bike. He is also interested in football and gymnastics.
